Assessments

While the data acquisition system is being installed on your motorcycle, you will complete paperwork and testing at the data collection location, which should take approximately 2 — 3 hours. You will be provided a comfortable area such as a conference room for paperwork and testing.  This initial paperwork and testing will include:

  • Proof of a valid U.S. motorcycle rider’s license, proof of motorcycle insurance, and proof of ownership (vehicle registration).
  • The informed consent process, culminating with signing the informed consent form.
  • Several screening measures and questionnaires.

The assessment component involves completing standard vision tests and filling in paper and computer-based surveys.  It is believed that there are no more than minimal risks involved with such activities.
